Now a new party that is about to be launched has set its eyes on giving the country the kind of leadership it desires for development. Part of the team is a two cinema vehicles projecting images of the presidents tour.
On the 18th November Afrikaada TeethSavers volunteers held a teeth uprooting, covering and sharing educatove flyers for students to learn basic ways of keeping your teeth healthy. Every year the team conduct similar activity where they give free treatment, brush and toothpaste to pupil of both schools.
Annually they reach out to more than school children in Soma and some members of the community. Women changing the narrative in their community by taking it upon themselves to clean public spaces. This organisation is called Future Developmemt Organisation. This sunday 24th they mobilized their members and held a cleaning exercise at the Soma District Hospital part of their annual activity to make public spaces clean.
The aim of the organisation is to promote business entrepreneurship, skills development among women and raise fund to support less privillege families c According to the Vice President Mam the organisation has more than 80 members both in the Gambia and in the diaspora.
The organisation is three years old. Part of the remarkable achievements they made is building a bakery in Brikamaba which is doing well. She further said they will be establishing a tailoring workshop at the Soma Market soon. They have already puchase two machines. Finally they hope to use the tailoring workshop as a skill center where young people will learn skills to support themselves.
