Flight times changed a few times before departure, but the worst was when Delta cancelled my JFK-RDU flight and then required finding new Air France flights and required me spending hours upon hours on the phone with Amex and Delta who had to interface with Air France to get it all sorted out.
I fortunately was able to stay in LP, but it did require me leaving Vienna at am instead of my original departure time of 1pm.
I had a bag to check, and the main SkyPriority line was quite long; the check-in process took about 20 minutes. I made my way to the SkyClub, and was warmly welcomed in - as always - by the wonderful team of Delta agents. Boarding started on time, we departed early, and took off right away. I took a nap and listened to a podcast, and before I knew it we were landing at JFK.
We had to wait a bit given how early we were and the fact that our gate was occupied, but eventually we made our way to the newly opened A-gates on the East side of Terminal 4. Air France does not provide any assistance with transfers at JFK for LP customers, so I made my way to the Terminal 1 transfer shuttle bus given that the AirTrain does not operate between Terminal 1 and 4 for the time being.
