Joined Oct 20, Hello Everybody! I wanted to say thanks to this site and to people who opened this thread. Thanks to them i've got to know about Neumarkt square reconstruction and about Dresden generally. I have been in Dresden for the first time two days ago and after having seen hundreds of pictures about reconstruction in this site i can finally say that in my opinion this big work has obtained a beautiful goal.
Frauenkirche is wonderful of course, and i liked almost all the other buildings around the square. For me it's a great job. I hope soon they will finish with the reconstruction of other quartiers. And i hope other german cities will follow this path. Thanks Skyscrapercity! I am from Italy. Maybe there are projects about this area?
Joined Oct 23, Lets agree that Germany in general did a poor job preserving the past, something both sides wanted to put behind them. Its refreshing to see some of these historical gems return.
