I know you're new n all.. I have been a complete waste of time in the tech section lately but I believe the floorpan is the same as a Torana.. I'm not sure on the similarities between viva seat rails and chevette ones, but I just bolted racepro seat brackets onto my chevette rails with only a coulpe of extra holes and some spacer washers etc. Perhaps if you can get a picture of the seat rails in question we could help out further?
I'm sure it won't be too much trouble. Far far far easier than putting in escort rails, thats the most abortion of an idea ever should just put a pinto in it. Pretty sure it works best on bare metal, but I know that you can put it on over existing paint if you scuff it back first.
Do they have a bar that runs across the front that gets bolted to the floor by 2 little brackets and then the back mounts just have 2 screws securing them, 1 on each side? POR15 to my knowledge is used more on bare-metal surfaces to protect them, ie suspension components, diffs, even underbodies etc. It wil work fine on the inside but if the paint is already in good condition perhaps it would be easier to just replaint it black? POR15 is not the easiest stuff in the world to handle.
Search it on here too, theres a few good threads on it floating around. Back to the rails, they don't sound the same as chevette ones like I thought they could be but the style of the rails them sounds and the dimensions might still be the same, so you could still potentially bolt the brackets on.
Not many people say this but Im not a fan of POR Probably be good on suspension parts etc but its just that.. If you get it on your skin it will stain you for weeks. If you get it in the lid grove on the tin it will seal the tin solid. You have to apply if with a brush which ain't the best.
