Joshua Jesiolowski, 32, Alliance, appeared for sentencing recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court before Judge Scott Washam for felonious assault, a first-degree felony, three counts of fourth-degree felony assault and misdemeanor resisting arrest. Jesiolowski was sentenced to 12 months for the assault charges plus four to six years for the felonious assault bringing the total to five to seven years. The day term for resisting arrest was ordered to be served at the same time.

The three assaults on peace officers resulted from Jesiolowski striking a Salem police officer in the face while impaired by drugs, causing physical harm and a cut to the face, along with striking an EMT in the head in the back of an ambulance and causing serious physical harm to another Salem police officer by kicking him and fighting him, injuring his back and causing him to be hospitalized.
