CCTV footage allegedly caught the moment a gang of Australian private schoolgirls are accused of shoplifting lingerie in a Victoria's Secret shop in Singapore. Daily Mail Australia understands the cameras allegedly caught the group of five Year 10 girls from Victoria's elite Bacchus Marsh Grammar stashing away expensive underwear before leaving the store without paying on Sunday. Police arrested the girls while they were still in the city's upmarket Mandarin Gallery shopping mall and brought them back to the store.

But they could now face up to three years in jail in the ultra-strict state if convicted of shoplifting. Two other girls were also questioned but released without charge. The five were held and quizzed by police for 10 hours before they were finally released into the care of school staff at 3.
Police arrested the girls while they were still in the city's upmarket Mandarin Gallery pictured shopping mall and brought them back to the store. He praised the work of the local police and said he hoped the girls would be allowed to return with their schoolmates as planned on Sunday.
The matter is being investigated by the Singapore Police. He added: 'The girls are currently in the direct care of Bacchus Marsh Grammar school staff and we look forward to them returning with the group later in the week. Parents were told the trip would help give their daughters 'a cultural experience in Asia' and 'education on travel and being an elite athlete', as well as 'competition in a foreign country'.
