Some of this hotel's finer amenities include beds that stab you with springs and toasty rooms in the middle of summer. They actually turn off the AC mid-day to keep costs down, both in the rooms, lobby and fitness center.
As for the location, if you don't mind being in the heart of Daejon's room salon hooker distict, then you might enjoy this neighborhood.
The one positive thing I can say is that the subway is nearby so you can easily escape. When I first read the previous reviews, I almost changed my Hotel I was reasurred the Hotel was a good one. Upon my arrival, I was impressed, the lobby is shiny fresh and clean, the dining area is well organized with pretty furnishings. Although the staff cannot speak english very well, we are in KOREA, they do try their utmost to assist the best they can. The room was very clean, not too many english channels.
Does Canada have Korean channels, do hotel chains there speak Korean?? We were accidentally overcharged for a meal at a beautiful restaurant. Omlettes, fruits and club sandwich were delicious- not the cheeseburger. This was the most expensive hotel I stayed in in Korea and by far the w orst. The staff barely spoke English, the first room I was given had a chunk missing from the toilet bowl, chunks missing from the carpet, carpet stains, cracked sink etc.
The next room I was given wasn't much better and the shower produced a tiny trickle of water. When I checked out they tried to charge me a dollar rate, although I'd booked in euro and it was way above what I'd booked. Location is horrible and sordid. Where to start. The room wasn't terribly clean. The air conditioning, when put on high speed, blew out almost mildly cool air at a whisper. You cannot set the temperature, but must ask the front desk to lower it from 20 celcius - which kept the room at about 25C.
