Pai Resort in Sukothai is a clean, reasonably priced place to stay in New Sukothai. I write this review mainly to rave about the massages we got. In town there are a number of massage shops and the staff call at you to come in as you walk by.
As a practitioner of Thai Massage myself, that demeanor seems incompatible to the form. We saw that Pai Resort offers massage at basically baht per hour and decided to give it a try.
When I asked for the appointment two practitioners one for me, one for my friend came within 20 minutes. They washed our feet and then had us lay on the clean and comfortable low thai massage beds in the spa room. From there we got authentic northern style thai massage.
