Best meals etc? Staying between Chaweng and lamaion the bit that sticks out. JBM78 posts months. The Ice Bar in Chaweng is worth a visit if you've not been to one before. When I was there, there were plenty of ladyboys hanging about. So depending on what lights your fire, then they would be a must-do or avoid. We got a scooter and mooched around the island,we were only there 5 days tho so it felt like I crammed things in a bit. Nobby Diesel 1, posts months.
Samui is great. Choeng Mon for a nice chilled beach. Fishermans Village for Walking Street. Jungle Club. And have a deep wallet. Beach Republic - slightly less so on both counts. Nathon for proper Thai life. PM me for why.
Ark Bar for a Wednesday night party. Loads and loads more - PM me if you want details. Hire a scooter to explore the island. Don't listen to the negatrons, I've ridden loads around Thailand, Philippines, India etc and never had an issue.
Just take your time and dont go crazily fast and you'll be fine. The area you're staying is is a s thole now, like magaluf or similar, but a few miles along the coast rd on a bike and you can still see some very nice places.
