I spent one night in this hotel in May during the rain season. We had a small room for Baht only which was appropriate. According to their hotel brochure it was promised to have internet in all rooms but unfortunately at this time it only runs in the public areas. The staff was very friendly, helpfull. The breakfeast included was ok for that price. They have a restaurant in the hotel area which offers local and international food. The local food is very recommendable. They also have nice and calm areas within ther hotel area and an own pool for recreation or just relaxing.
There are a lot of shops, restaurants etc. Overall, this hotel is recommendable if you want just to stay for a short time and then crossing the border to Laos or come back from Laos. I spent 2 nights in a deluxe room at B per night and thought it was good value. The rooms are old but they were clean and comfortable.
There is a small pool and a good little restaurant with local and foreign food. I found it quiet enough and its location was hard to beat. The good thing about this place is it's close to all the great eating areas of NongKhai. The place looks OK from the outside, but inside its looking real old and the room we stayed in needs a makeover big time. I think its a bit overpriced for what you get.
Breakfast is average at best. Had free internet which was good The hotel staff is rude. The room smelled like sewage. The so called computer in my room did not work. Noise all night from people bringing in bar girls. The restaurant staff seems to expect and demand tip money even though they give bad service and play the game they do not understand English. Hey, give the world a break, English is the most spoken language so if you are in a business with tourist learn some English.
Even if you speak Thai to the staff they look at you with a blank stare. Hotel staff totally unhelpful they just want your money and you get lost. What was interesting was to watch all the Prostitutes being brought to the Hotel around 12 midnight so Thai business men could have their pick. And ofcourse there are always good restaurants such as Dee Dee. I had at that time not any copy of the transfer with me but informed I would inform them later when I came back. That I did in January , but since have I heard nothing from Pantawee or recieved my bath prepaid money back.
