We are on a biking trip and the tour company booked us in here. Check in was a disgrace the girl took 30 minutes to copy our passports as we did not want to leave them.
We got to the room and there was no hot water so it was back to reception to try and sort this out. We had to tell her that we needed another room. After being moved we went to bar which did have a bottle of Gordon's gin but no tonic. Best sticking to beer. Dinner was okay, however, the wine was corked and they still wanted to charge. We are now back in the room which is adequate, however, karaoke is blasting out and the music is terrible never mind the singing. Keep driving to the next town is my advice.
I am a 61 year old retired professional. I was comfortable in Hanoi, staying at the Sofitel. I had no social interest in the woman beyond niceties. She assured me that she had five 5 hand picked, adorable single women for me to meet at the resort. I messaged her many many times to ascertain the integrity of her and the hotel staff. She said that each of them desired a long term relationship, each was a virgin, and none of them wanted more than a good husband.
I sent video, photos, and voice samples as well as still pictures. When I arrived at the hotel I was told that "they don't like the way you look. Her boss said that she went out looking for prostitutes to spend one night with me, but found none. I don't go with prostitutes. I am in the hotel now. The hotel is beautiful. The staff is not English proficient. Lonely men, like me, who have lost their families are at risk. Women and resorts of this moral depravity are a risk to society.
I was told that things are cheap here. Not true. Twice the cost of Hanoi. I was told that this hotel had arranged sightseeing and everything. I'm not a soft man. All that I can do is cry since I arrived and no way home for four days. I'm trapped in hell.
