Sex is as much spiritual mystery as physical fact. The physical part of you is not some piece of property belonging to the spiritual part of you. God owns the whole works. So let people see God in and through your body. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. Or do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body with her?
Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?
But the one who joins with the Lord is one spirit with the Lord. So run away from sexual sin. Every other sin people do is outside their bodies, but those who sin sexually sin against their own bodies. You should know that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit who is in you. You have received the Holy Spirit from God. So you do not belong to yourselves. Or know ye not that he that is joined to a harlot is one body?
Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own. Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
