There is a petrol bunk on the left of the highway which marks the town entrance just after this turn. On the side road, about half a kilometer inside is the place on the left.
It is relatively new,clean, well maintained and very simple. Remember to ask Mirian, the owner 92 ; pousadanovoairao hotmail. It is a little disconcerting to walk about the town and back to this pousada after sunset since the streets are adequately lit rather than well lit. That said, the place is reasonably safe provided you don't wander off the main street. Total population is just ! The pousada serves only breakfast, which we did not have since we left for the river at 5.
