Pedro was the perfect host. He spoke great English which really helped. Breakfast was great value and the free WiFi was also appreciated knowing how hard it is to access in Cuba. Pedro also helped arrange tours and taxis and nothing seemed any trouble. The room was clean, had hot water and Pedro gave us free drinking water too which was a nice touch.
Pedro and his wife are very nice persons, they are very hospitable and generous. We were glad that we could stay in their house. As all others have said, Hostal Juana is the best in every way! After being on a tour, Pedro's welcome to tranquility was very refreshing and we were able to completely relax in the hospitality of this wonderful family.
Our room was immaculately clean and even had the delightful touch of its own little Christmas tree for the holidays. Breakfast on the patio was delicious and plentiful; we requested an early, vegetarian dinner for one night that was perfect. Pedro and Herenia not only provided many excellent suggestions as others have indicated, but were very generous and honest in giving us insights into Cuba as a physics professor and a doctor The location is excellent, both convenient and quiet It is also off the beaten track and was our best restaurant experience on our trip.
They made Vinales the favorite part of our visit to Cuba! I stayed at Pedro's casa for 2 nights, and the experience was exceptional. The other reviews are accurate: He has an amazing family and home that is sparkling clean.
Pedro will provide suggestions and help you navigate your time in Vinales with no problem. My flight to Havana was extremely delayed, but Pedro was able to communicate with me via the Airbnb app and helped to let the taxi he arranged know that I would be late. The location of the casa is fantastic. You're walking distance from any place in Vinales you want to see. Breakfast is outstanding and you won't walk away hungry. The small apartment you stay in is a studio with two beds and en suite bathroom kept in sparkling condition.
