Hi guys, to give some context, I'm travelling from london to Indonesia all by land, as it is my interest, so I am still planning this trip.
Now I know that from Zahedan to Quetta is pretty dangerous and foreigners are given a police escort all the way to Quetta. Just wondering what my options are if I end up entering Pakistan from Iran. A very specific question. Are you going to use Pak passport? I'm assuming you should be aware, in case you travel as a British passport holder, you'd need an official guide in Iran. That doesn't make it better.
I guess I will look into applying for Iranian visa on my Pakistani passport. I am planning by land to Indonesia too, now i am in Azerbaijan.
We can meet in Tehran and travel together. I also find local guide who can help us in Iran and Pakistan. If you agree, let me know. It was 25 years ago, but when I crossed the border at Zahaden all the travellers were put onto a bus and there was a police escort regardless of nationality. I'd expect it to be the same now: the police escort is probably more for people who are travelling independently.
