The fact of the matters is we are in uncharted waters in this world. It's good to diversify. There's good and bad about all of these things and frankly I think we need all of them. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Each of the things I listed are good things to store wealth in for a variety of different reasons that will give you a higher probability of being right in the end. If you're into Gold, why not own a couple Bitcoins too incase you need to slip out of an area with nothing but the shirt on your back.
You have a bunch of Bitcoins, but no Food or Water in case of a disaster? Time to stock up on Preparedness Supplies. Why not have them all? I'm not saying have equal wealth into each.
