Good training, lots of opportunities for progression, good salary and benefits. They care about their workers. Business processes are onerous and defy common sense. Good opportunities for advancement if you work hard and stick with it, but it does need commitment, patience, and demonstrated good performance. You can't get by just slacking.
Strong culture of inclusion and diversity. Like any business, especially publicly traded, costs including labor are constantly optimized, which does lead to some layoffs and use of low-cost countries. However, the company treats employees very fairly and with dignity in the process when layoffs are necessary, with reasonable compensation, and tries to find another opportunity for them.
Heavy emphasis on training and education, which is good, but not all requirements are well-focused for particular jobs, so the number of mandatory courses to be taken sometimes feels burdensome.
Constant layoffs! Management has also restricted Telecommuting. Employees used to be able to work from home all the time- now it is limited to 4 times a month.
Try to leave or work from home with a sick kid, and you get written up! And I am a high level IT professional. Great benefits and bonus compensation in sales. Not much flexibility. Very strict guidelines in call center environment. Awesome job To have for college student. Sometimes long hours but nothing else. Will teach you valuable life skills such as communication or team work. None everything is a lesson that can benefit you.
