I've been meaning to write this review for a while now but like most people, once holidays come to an end, you jump right back into the daily grind at the blink of an eye. Goes without saying, I was totally bummed by this but was determined to not let this make my holiday a total washout.
So i just had to milk this city, Vladivostok. To give you an idea on how amazing this couple was, I landed into Vladivostok on Sunday, found their contact and messaged Arthur on Sunday evening. He was quick to contact me on whatsapp and on Monday morning was at my hostel door step to fetch me.
They were incredibly hospitable - and that's an under statement. Arthur owns a cute lil jeep and the two of them have a locally dog - Zaga, who often joins on the day trips, hikes and sight seeing. It was a wonderful feeling to see this couple do their job with so much passion and treat you like family. For the entire week, they were with me! They'd pick me up, we'd do hikes which blew my mind btw, cuz they arranged for the hikes despite the bad stormy weather , end the day with a quick round of grocery shopping and then do BBQ's or dinner at their place together.
All in-all, I'd say, if you're a stuck up person looking for luxury, a rigid inflexible schedule and not keen to really get to know the local culture, people or their hospitality, then you shouldn't contact Arthur and Diana I for one, went looking for a new city but returned with way more than i could've asked for - tried great food, nailed a few hikes, explored the whole city the local way and earned two great friends and a lil doggo Happy 'splorin with Your Local Guide. They won't disappoint!
We still can not stop watching this video of you killing Eminem's Rap god on top of mountain Falaza under the heavy rain. We had a great tour with Arthur. We did the Safari tour. He arrived on time, drove us to the Safari Park and translated as the local guide showed us around.
