A lovely waterfall where we took the boat ride 50k VND per person to get close to the waterfall. We walked from the cave to the falls in around 45 mins. The waterfalls leave you speechless. We took a ferry for K VND that took us close to the base of the falls, then cruising past china side and back to Vietnam side What an absolutely magnificent and stunning waterfall!
It was worth the long trip from Hanoi just to see the beauty and power of the Falls that separates Vietnam from China. I would certainly like to pay a second visit there, this time to stay a Ban Gioc was fantastic -- almost only vietnamese tourists. We were unclear about how long the drive from Hanoi was, hence we spent excessive time in the bus compared with the visit to this magnificent site.
Go, but be sure to plan enough travel time! Recommend going there. Extraordinary views. The waterfall is amazing. This waterfalls were the pick of my travel in Vietnam. We took the bus from Cao Bang, that dropped us in the Tiger gave also amazing. Then we walked for about an hour through the villages and rice fields until we arrived to a Pagoda, Ban Gioc Waterfall is the most beautiful in Vietnam. Visiting Vietnam without visiting Ban Gioc waterfall is considered as having not been to Vietnam.
Just fantastic waterfall widespread in dense forest and opposite to china border. One of the most beautiful water fall in the world. Ban Gioc is about a 2 hour bus ride from Coa Bang along a scenic route. You can also rent scooters to get here. If you do this, I would consider driving up, spending the night near the waterfall and driving back the next day Cao Bang.
